He doesn't miss a thing....

Landon is a very smart little boy, but we didn't realize that he literally takes EVERYTHING in that we say. Yesterday, Dustin and Landon were playing baseball outside, and it was time to come in and wash up for supper. So Dustin told Landon to pick up his bat and balls, and come in the house. Landon stopped in his tracks, looked up at Dustin and said, "I can't Daddy, I have a headache." If I have a headache, and Landon wants me to do something, tha tis what I tell him. That lets him know that whatever he wants me to do a that moment, will have to wait. It amazes me how much he learns and picks up from us. He knew by saying that, that he could get out of picking up his toys....because he had a "headache". It let me and Dustin know right then that we need to make sure we are always setting a positive example for him. Me and Dustin rarely fuss, but we made a rule before we had children, that we would never argue or talk about financial problems in front them. They can feel the stress and tension that we talk about, and children need to be worry free for as long as they can. He needs to worry about bad guys and monsters hiding under his bed, than worry about paying bills or any other "adult" issues. We love Landon with all our heart and we want him to grow up and be a wonderful person, that everyone loves to be around. And on the road that he is on now, we are doing a pretty good job.
