Thank God they are OK!

My cousin, Katelyn Gainey, was in an accident Friday night. Her and her boyfriend, Richard, were on their way to Florence to eat. Her parents were about 5 cars behind them. Katelyn ran off the road and panicked, and jerked the car back onto the road causing them to flip and land in a ditch. Richard smelled gasoline and kicked out the passenger window to let them climb out. When her parents reached the scene, they were just about to panic when they seen them standing on the opposite side of the road. They are extremely blessed. They landed in the ditch upside down in the opposite way they were going. Katelyn got by with just some scraps and cuts and Richard has a small concussion. Thank you Lord for keeping your hands on them!! Here are a few pics!

If I could go back in time, would I do it all over again?

Would I take the bad with the good,

the tear with the laughter,

the hurts with the joys?

Even though things aren't always perfect,

I wouldn't trade one minute of our life together...

And if I could go back in time,

I wouldn't hesitate for a second

Dustin, I know that we have been through alot the 7 years that we have been married.  But I wouldn't change one thing. I do wish that we had Trevor here with us, in our arms. But I have learned that bad things happen to good people. I'm so happy that I have you as a Husband and Best Friend, and that they boys have you as their Father. Happy Father's Day! We love you!

Landon's first tball season is over, and I have to say that I am very sad. I LOVE watching him play. Here are a few more pictures from this season...

Lake Day

My arms are soooo sore! I went tubing for the first time yesterday at the Lake. I am hooked! Landon enjoyed it until we started going faster and he wanted off the tube! He did enjoy watching Billy throw me and Dawn off though. Landon had a blast and enjoyed swimming in the lake. He is definitely a summer person like me and Dustin. He loves the water and could stay outside all day. Him and Bryce fell asleep for about 15 minutes while we were riding back in the boat. I could have stayed there all day. Looking forward to many more this summer!

So true......

A wife who loses a husband is called a widow. A husband who loses a wife is called a widower. A child who loses his parents is called an orphan. But . . . there is no word for a parent who loses a child, that’s how awful the loss is!

Sweet Summer Time

There's nothing like enjoying time with your friends and family, on a warm summer afternoon, while a friend plays music on his acoustic guitar, having neighbors come out and sit on their porch and listen as well, enjoying each others company. Looking forward to many more days like this!



Memorial Weekend

We had a very quite Memorial Day this year. Friday night Dustin made us cheeseburgers and I made some homemade fries. We stayed at the house the entire night. Saturday Dustin had to work so me and Mom spend the day together. We shopped around and then decided to eat lunch at Applebees. We had Bryce and Landon and for some reason Bryce was SUPER hyper. I was so happy to get out of Applebees! Then we went back to Mom's house and laid a blanket on the grass and let the boys eat their candy mom got them and I recorded them. They were so cute and funny. When Dustin got home he took us fishing and Landon caught his first fish! Here are some pictures from that day!

When we got home I made chicken wings with homemade wing sauce(I melted 2 sticks of butter in a saucepan, added one jar of Franks Red Hot sauce, and a couple dashes of Texas Pete. I fried the wings and drumsticks and them dipped them in the sauce.) It was delicious and we plan on making some more! I also made more homemade fries! I could eat them everyday! We didnt do alot Sunday. Landon left around 2:00 to go the Southport with Dustin's parents. He had a blast and I went and got him Tuesday morning from Dustin's parents house. Here is a pic that Dustin's Daddy sent me. They were riding on the Ferry to go to a reptile aquarium.

Monday me and Dustin just spend the day relaxing. We got up and I cooked bacon and homemade blueberry pancakes. After that we decided we wanted to go fishing. Dustin caught another bass and I caught a small brim! I was so dissappointed! After that we went home and showered and went and ate at Wing N Ale and went to Walmart because Dustin just HAD to have a new flat screen tv for our room. He said the one in there now was too small because it hurt his eyes when he watched it.(yeah right) We retired our other one and put it in Landon's room. We had a very much needed relaxing Memorial Day Weekend!
